I was the Park Royal Service Centre Manager for three and a half years around the secondment as Regional Operations Manager for Sameday. My significant achievements included;- the extensive re-engineering put in place in 2012, along with considerable changes to the route structures, to support the delivery of significant improvement in EOS results; followed by- the successful move in Sept 2013 to the current premises, in a large project involving a £1.2 million capital expenditure. This represented not only a change in site, but also a change in all working practices. Some of these presented complex HR issues, all of which were dealt with individually, and to agreement;- increase in 2013 EOS scores on 2011;- implementation of a new structure that has shown improvements in productivity, service and also the financial position. Volume growth is also ahead of the UK market; and- successful growth from 28 core routes to 45 core routes with two bulk routes (and further expansion planned for Summer 2014), working closely with service partners and FTE to ensure service expectations are exceeded across a challenging and mainly B2C service area.

My secondment to DHL Same Day gave me regional management experience but, importantly, a role overseeing and implementing customer specific service improvement plans against the backdrop of needing to make large cost reductions. These were delivered through re-structuring of Service Partner payments and a management redundancy programme.

I joined DHL Express as am Account Manager at LGW, later moving to become a Major Account Manager at Lambeth. These roles gave me an in-depth understanding of our business, and allowed me to learn both the product side, but also what was required by the customer. Key achievements included:- being one of the top performing sales people in Europe, achieving the top shipment growth of any sales person in Europe in three quarters during 2008;- Consistent performance exceeding new business targets throughout 2007 - 2009- Achievement of 90% customer contact ratio throughout period as sales person.I also demonstrated my ability to formulate long lasting relationships, managing both new and existing customers for DHL, with many of the relationships developed then still proving strong and valuable to the business today.
