Head of Communications, Partnerships and Global Mobilization for UN Secretary-General’s Climate Change Support Team.• Worked with Governments, civil society organisations and private sector corporations to inspire a global mobilization in support of a new climate agreement in Paris at COP21.• Led communication strategy for UN Secretary-General’s Climate Summit on 23 September 2014 resulting in 34,000 media stories and 127 million Twitter users reached with #Climate2014, a social media exposure of nearly 3 billion impressions.A detailed study by DPI's Evaluation and Communications Research Unit, shows the Climate Summit to have been one of the UN's most highly visible events in the last decade in terms of media coverage.• Encouraged civil society organisations including Avaaz and 350.org to organise largest climate march in history with 400,000 in New York including UN Secretary-General. There were more than 2,600 other Climate Summit-related events in 150 countries.• Organised Secretary-General’s Climate Summit opening press conference with Presidents of France and Peru, Chair of African Union, the Mayor of Rio and CEOs from Cargill and Statoil. • Engaged with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation to sign up actor as UN Messenger of Peace for climate change. His speech was viewed 1.4 million times on YouTube, double previous UN record. • Spokesperson: Live TV interviews have included Sky News, CCTV, CBC and Al Jazeera International.• Collaborated with Huffington Post on month-long climate change series resulting in 62 op-eds heavily promoted across all platforms.• Worked with top Hollywood talent to produce opening film narrated by Morgan Freeman and scored by Hans Zimmer. Viewed 300,000 times generating 27 million social media impressions.• Winner of UN Secretary-General Award 2015 for team work.

Team leader, chief spokesperson and results-driven content producer in strategic public-private partnership founded by UNICEF, WHO, World Bank and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.As Acting Director of Communications, I motivated and led team of 12 communication professionals through an 11-month transition in 2013 resulting in increased brand recognition and media visibility including GAVI's first front page story in New York Times and coverage on BBC Six and 10 O’Clock News twice in one week.Advised three CEOs on media relations, positioning, messaging and created opportunities to highlight GAVI’s results in key donor markets. In 2013, under my leadership, GAVI’s media visibility more than doubled in Q1, Q2 and Q3 compared to the same quarters the year before. Led media and social media campaign with key advocacy partners (UNICEF, DFID, Save the Children, ONE.org) for GAVI’s first Pledging Conference resulting in US$ 4.3 billion raised -- $ 600 million more than target. Organized live coverage on CNN, BBC, Sky News and Al Jazeera.Managed $ 2 million budget and hired PR companies and consultants in donor countries.Led communication strategy for International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm). Team leader at UNICEF’s New York HQ pioneering new era of online multimedia communications and digital content gathering.Created new system of digital video story gathering and online distribution to 37 UNICEF national committees and broadcasters worldwide.Conceived and set up UNIFEED, a shared global video distribution platform on APTN for all UN agencies to reach 600 broadcasters with daily content.Travelled to 26 developing countries to produce multimedia stories on development issues and emergency programmes. The work reporting on the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 raised millions of additional dollars to help rebuild schools and communities. Led communications on sports: FIFA World Cups 2002 & 2006, ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.
