Dan Tiltges continues to be a leader in specialty geotechnical construction for civil and environmental applications. He serves on the Slurry Wall and Soil Mixing Committee's for DFI. He has over 42 years of experience installing 25 million square feet of slurry walls. He is particularly experienced in slurry wall and trench construction, cement bentonite walls, biopolymer drains, iron filing walls, permeable reactive barriers, and soil mixing. He has successfully modified existing construction equipment for its use in specialty geotechnical projects. Modified equipment includes deep slurry excavators with long reach and high radial tooth force, high capacity cement bentonite mixers, high capacity grout mixers, high capacity and large diameter soil mixing equipment. His expertise also includes management, estimating, technical oversight, risk management, corporate development and guidance on projects involving specialty geotechnical construction techniques.He can provide engineers valuable knowledge in the application and design of all types of slurry walls and geotechnical construction. Mr. Tiltges vast knowledge can support general contractors in the construction of all types of slurry wall construction. Mr. Tiltges is also knowledgeable in mix designs and their applications for slurry wall construction. He believe that all projects can be completed in a safe and productive work environment. He understands and can foresee the complex issues that can be experienced on a geotechnical project and has provided valuable solutions to complex problems faced on many geotechnical projects.

Mr. Tiltges was the Vice President for the Geotechnical Division for DeNovo. He was successful in the design and building of a semi-long reach 954 Liebherr excavator for the excavation of slurry walls to 50 feet deep. Mr. Tiltges meet with Liebherr engineers to design the excavator. The excavator was then built in Germany to the specifications and ship to the United States. The 954 Liebherr was instrumental in the completion of the MWRD Heritage Flood Control cement bentonite slurry wall. Mr. Tiltges was the estimator and slurry trench specialist for all slurry wall construction completed at DeNovo.

Mr. Tiltges was the Special Projects Director for RECON. He was instrumental in RECON being award the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Mine Slurry Wall Project in Rocanville, SK, Canada. Mr. Tiltges spent the first year of the project selecting and modifying the correct heavy equipment to perform the project. He was instrumental in setting the project up. When completed the slurry wall will be 9 miles long and will have been dug to a depth of 140'

Mr. Tiltges was the VP of Operations for Inquip for 27 years. He was responsible for purchasing and designing their deep excavating excavators. He modify Koehrings Excavators to dig at depths over 60' and more. Mr. Tiltges manage all aspects of the construction. Mr. Tiltges was a owner from 1987 to 2020.
