About Dan T.

Currently serving as lead principal investigator for a Navy technical program which supports atmospheric data assimilation within the Navy’s global model NAVGEM and mesoscale model COAMPS. Serving as code librarian and developer for regional 3DVar data assimilation system, NAVDAS, run operationally at Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC). Computer and programing experience includes numerous languages, including bash, csh, ksh, FORTRAN 70/90/95 (with MPI for parallel programing), Python, GrADS, MATLAB, GEMPAK, Perl, and several others. Direct experience with running software on both NCEP and DoD HPC supercomputers and developing and maintaining software with others through code management repository systems (Subversion and Git).
