About Dr. Dan Udy

I’m an award-winning writer and editor with global experience across many formats. I excel at translating complex ideas into clear, accessible language for a range of audiences - whether in a community health guide, grant application or media soundbite. To date I’ve held roles in the museum, non-profit and tech sectors. I’ve also worked in academia, teaching in multiple fields and publishing original research in peer-reviewed journals. My PhD focussed on HIV and LGBTQ2S+ health activism and its relationship to changing media technologies. Since then, I have developed multimedia health content for the HIV and LGBTQ2S+ communities and the clinicians who serve them. These projects span articles, policy reports, magazines, print booklets, social media, and video. I’m currently at PurposeMed, a health-tech company delivering HIV prevention, gender-affirming care and mental health services. As Brand Content Manager I lead strategy and creation of LGBTQ2S+ health content across web, social, and print. I was previously an in-house grant writer and raised $3.95m in my first year.
