As Assistant manager I oversee the overall running of the branch managing a teamof 8 people.This particular branch has a turn over of 2.3million per annumDay to day duties include;•Cash handling (Sales , account payments and Banking)•Telephone, email and internet Sales•Maintaining exisiting accounts •Liasing with Sales reps to win new customers•Transportation (deliveries, services, daily vehicle checks / Forklifts and Hgv's.)•Setting and maintaining Key Result Area's (KRA's)•Setting and maintaning Key proformance indicators (KPI's)•Inter-branch transfers (IBT's)•Complying to the heath and safety act's at all times•Constant traning and updating staff

Main duties include: Supervising work colleagues, delegating responsibilities, ensuring smooth running of shop floor / Trade counter. Stock taking, Ordering, meeting exceptional sales tragets by introducing new clients and building relationships with existing customers.Other day to day duties include computer based sales (excel and in housesystems), Setting up new accounts and managing existing accounts, arrangingprice agreements and general administration.Transport managment

Taking orders with customers and suppliers. Booking in and despatching stock,General administration.cutting wood to customer required specifications, length, thickness ect ect .........I distributed deliveries and collected stock from suppliers. I work well on the sales deskwhen face to face with customers.I offen assist other team members to maintain a smooth running working environment
