Dan Walder is a Senior Manager at Accenture. He possess expertise in six sigma, cross functional team leadership, project management, business process improvement, process improvement and 7 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I have known Dan since 2006 in his various roles at DuPont. During those years, Dan has had different responsibilities within DuPont that he has tackled head on with strong leadership and thoroughness. He has always been an excellent communicator, coach and partner in working collaboratively with me and my team. His ability to work with multiple vendors and execute complex strategies, is one of the things I admire about Dan.
For any new opportunity, Dan was always prepared to discuss strategies, options and direction. Speaking as a vendor, this does not always happen. But with Dan, he recognized the importance of providing the information needed to drive a winning solution for both DuPont and their partner(s). His technical and organizational knowledge was extremely beneficial to the overall success of delivering on the expectations of any project or program. In addition, there have been times where I participated and witnessed firsthand how Dan handles himself in a critical situation. He is level headed in this approach and understanding of the current state and is able to communicate and direct the team to focus on the end state. When time is of enhance and multiple vendors are involved, Dan can quickly mitigate and remediate the situation.
There are many traits I admire of Dan but the one’s I most admire is his integrity, honesty and sense of humor. I have always enjoyed working with Dan and would welcome the opportunity in the future and would highly recommend Dan.
" and "I worked with Dan on the Dow DuPont Spin project as his counterpart at IBM. This was a planned global IT divestiture project that took over two years to complete. Dan was the global IT infrastructure leader on the project.
Dan’s extensive background across not only technical but business areas such as audit and operations positioned him to see across the seams of the project. His ability to manage and govern across multiple suppliers is excellent. He was able to anticipate trouble areas for this massive global IT project and put mitigations in place that enabled his team and partners to meet timelines and budget constraints.
Dan has excellent communication skills and easily moves from C-level discussions to technical management discussions. He is able to develop excellent working relationships with his team and his suppliers because of his ability to see the vision and communicate not only the vision but the purpose to all partners.
I certainly would look forward to working with Dan in the future.
