See "Volunteering" section below for my most recent updates and activities.I retired from Chevron after an almost 40-year career, the first half as a geologist and the second as a Decision Analyst (DA). I served most of DA career as an internal, global DA consultant working projects in more than 20 countries. Key responsibilities included opportunity/strategy framing facilitation, data elicitation, modeling & evaluation, and decision quality (DQ) coaching and assurance. My last five years there were spent as Chevron's DA/DQ Organizational Capability (OC) Manager, a role that included leading and coordinating DA course development and delivery, as well as other means of OC development including mentoring, career coaching and job filling.One of my key objectives in this phase of life is to leverage and volunteer my DA skills and experience to help others, including youth as well as select, non-profit organizations, make high quality decisions. As detailed in the "Volunteering" section further below, I have been partnering with the Decision Education Foundation, as well as with the Readiness Institute at Penn State, Westmont College, and TeachBeyond, among others. This includes developing and delivering applied decision skills learning modules, mostly at the high-school level, with a key focus there being on helping students more effectively think through their What Next (after HS)? decisions.
