My research interests focus on novel articulations between the sociology of consumption, economic sociology and social theory in order to inform socio-economic and socio-technical change.I have just started a new two year project looking at "Imagined Futures of Consumption", funded by the ESRC, and I've recently become an Associate Editor of.

The Sustainable Consumption Institute (SCI) is a world class, multi-disciplinary research institute at the University of Manchester. Communications work for the SCI has included writing summaries of completed research projects for a business audience, advising on developing the SCI's profile and digital presence, and copy-editing the manuscript of.

The SPRG (www.sustainablepractices.ac.uk) was a major research collaboration across eight UK universities. The programme sought to understand the dynamics of social practices, cultural conventions, institutional processes and infrastructures in order to inform transitions towards sustainable living.

I helped the SPRG with its communications on an ad hoc basis from 2011, taking on a part time role as Communications Officer in Jan 2013. Amongst other things I was co-author on the SPRG report 'Interventions in Practice: Re-framing Policy Approaches to Consumer Behaviour' and helped put together and organise the SPRG's successful finale event and.
