After leaving Runshaw catering college I started work at Northcote Manor under Nigel Haworth. It was here I found my true passion for food.I then went to Burlingtons of Broughton, Preston, One of the first true Gastro pub's to appear in the north west eating out scene. After a few years I moved to Cheshire, starting at the Swan Inn at Tarporley. After working in other 2/3 AA Rosette hotels around Cheshire including Rookery Hall I decided to go into The Gastro Pub scene with my last Head Chef role being at the Cholmondeley Arms.I then went over to New Zealand & Australia for a career break.After working as NPD & innovation chef for KK Fine Foods I joined Wellocks - a UK market leader in Fresh Produce as Prepared Production Manager, a role which pushes the boundaries in Prepared ingredients for UK nationwide Restaurants,Hotels,Supermarkets & Airlines Duties include a 24 hour operation, product costings, profit analysis, managing 70 staff, disciplinary procedures, customer support, account management, achieved BRC grade A standard prep room, Certificated internal auditor, Product development, implementation of new machinery from researching to putting into practice & all HACCP from metal detection to KOSH.As part of my personal development within Wellocks I naturally progressed into a business development management role.After 2 years I was promoted to Head of Business Development and was responsible for a team of 7 BDM’s.With this team and the owner, we pushed sales from circa £25 million to north of £60 million,In 2019 the company was acquired by the William Jackson Food Group, I was promoted to the role of Head of Commercial and joined the SLT.I completed the WJFG Management Program and also GSCOP sales training.After 10 years service I felt the time was right to move onto a new chapter in my career.In January 2023 I joined Valimex Food service in London, as Sales Director, an exciting new chapter in where my skills and experience to help push on the company’s growth plans.
