Following on from First Pacific Davies, Dan joined the family company Willtrac Corporation in 1999 which was later sold to Toyota Industries Corporation. After the sale, Dan succeeded his father Brian in 2006 when Toyota appointed him Regional General Manager of Willtrac Corporation and subsequently renamed Toyota Material Handling.During the following 7 years, the company grew substantially and so did the responsibility under Dan’s control. Based in Brisbane, Dan looked after both the Queensland and New South Wales Toyota Material Handling Branches with a total staff of over 300 and a turnover in excess of $150 million. Reporting directly to the Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Dan’s key roles were maximizing returns to the shareholder and the achievement of challenging sales and profitability targets. During his years with Toyota, Dan was involved in numerous property lease negotiations and was the sole project manager on various new constructions.

Working in the Property Management and Finance departments, Dan gained broad experience across all divisions, and was responsible for the maintenance of the agency trust accounts and financial accounting functions.
