I was born in Cagliari, Italy, in 1974, last of a family of golfers I’m the third generation of professional golfers since 1875. My father got me to scratch player in just 3 years and instilled in me the passion for the game and teaching.I turned pro in 1994 and played on the European Challenge Tour, Florida Winter Tour and Italian Pro Tour for 4 years then stopped due to a wrist injury.I started my 25-year teaching career as Assistant Golf Professional in 1998 and I currently run my own academy, which I opened at Is Molas GC, Italy, in 2006. My teaching methods are up to date with the latest technology available − my academy is currently the only one in Sardinia offering Trackman radar technology – but tradition and style played an important role in my upbringing and are still an essential and integral part of my teaching philosophy, as no Trackman can substitute a lesson on how to be elegant on and off the course. The relationship of trust I create with pupils and my inherent ability to understand how they learn and respond allows me to offer each individual a truly personalised and targeted approach.In 2010 I invented, recorded and patented a golf teaching aid, Swingcolors, a shirt that beginners can wear to easily improve body posture and swing sequence by comparing with reference photographs.
