As part of WMG’s leadership team, I help lead the vision, mission and core values of our company. Panera Bread, with over 2,000 bakery-cafes in the U.S. and Canada, operates on the philosophy that good food and food you can feel good about brings out the best in everyone.My position as Senior Manager of Design Projects for Panera was my introduction to project design and initiatives with a national footprint and gave me insight into scalable design.I worked with Panera franchisees – primarily those West of the Mississippi, including many in California and Texas – to design cafes that conveyed Panera’s eye-appealing signature brand while also being extremely mindful of the costs incurred. What I found especially attractive about this role was seeing first-hand how smaller-scale developments can have such a big impact on their communities.

Trivers was founded in 1975 on values that still characterize the firm today: creating architecture of lasting positive consequence.My role at Trivers began as an entry-level position directly out of graduate school, and within a few years I became a licensed architect. Over my seven-year tenure I advanced to the position of Project Architect, and in my last year, that of Associate.Learning from some wonderful mentors and contributing to projects ranging from university buildings to adaptive reuse, my experience at Trivers was a phenomenal one. From design to construction management, I was involved in every phase of our projects, and my time there laid the foundation for the technical and leadership skillsets that I am still building today.
