Engineering Director in the Meta Ads organization, leading development of advertiser-facing products responsible for the majority of Meta revenue. Currently managing a team of ~180 engineers responsible for the full stack of the Ads API, Ads Manager web/mobile, and Small Business Advertising products: from the C++ database and data services backend, through the serverside APIs, to the JavaScript/iOS/Android end-user interfaces. Collectively, these products serve the full range of advertisers, from small businesses through to large brands and ad agencies. Personally focused on building a strong engineering culture, defining product strategy, building collaborations across an organization of thousands of engineers, and holding teams accountable to a high quality bar.

Tech lead for Meta's Ads Manager app on mobile, a dedicated app for advertisers on Meta to create and manage ads on the go. Led development of the product from the beginning, and helped build the team from the ground up. Being Meta's first fully React Native app, collaborated with product infrastructure teams to develop and pressure test React Native technology leading up to its open source release. Primarily worked in PHP/Hack, JavaScript, and React/React Native.

First engineering hire at a startup of 7 people, doing full-stack web and mobile development. Spool was a mobile app that let you record video or save articles from anywhere on the internet to your phone - and watch it anytime (even offline). This was a significant enabler for video consumption on mobile, given limited bandwidth and spotty coverage of 3G networks at the time. Powered by virtualized crawlers running on AWS (patent: US 9298827). Primarily worked in C/C++, JavaScript, Ruby, and Android Java.Acquired by Facebook in 2012.

Engineer working on the Firefox browser platform, primarily working in C++ and JavaScript. Worked on the Firefox networking stack and UI where I contributed to improved privacy and third-party tracking controls, and collaborated with Google, Apple, and Opera to achieve consistent cookie handling behavior across browsers. Also built js-ctypes for Firefox, a platform-internal library for calling C/C++ functions from JavaScript at runtime without having to write or compile any C/C++ glue code.
