Whilst At Servelec Control I worked on a sorting and dissolution plant for the radioactive waste at Bradwell nuclear power station. My main role was in the development and final commissioning of the of SCADA system.Two months, site experience commissioning the plant.On site some of my tasks involved modifying the network for the server and client computers so that heartbeat monitoring techniques could be applied to improve plant safety. I also created a batch file (.bat) that synchronises the time and date of the server and client computers daily, this improved the integrity of the event banner and historian of the plant. I was relied upon to develop an array of safe and reliable solutions to these issues without comprising the overall safety of the site.Worked directly with the customer to modify the plants historian.I developed direct communications with the customers, time management and planning as well as a clear understanding of nuclear procedures through the site training that I received.FDS, Power, Heat and Reliability Calculations and TQ’s documentation.I also developed a control system for ITM Power that produced hydrogen from water for hydrogen vehicle refuelling. Involvement in:Siemens WinCC, Step 7 and Step 7 Safety software. Directly worked with the customer to generate a HMI suitable for their specific needs.Hardware Set-up and Implementation, project documentation, I/O lists, hardware testing, panel electrical tests, using CAD drawings to fault find electrical circuits and programming trip amplifiers. During the summer months of 2015 I was involvement in the rebuild of the 210MW CHP Station from Shotton, UK to Mardin, TurkeyUsed previous software and researched theoretical knowledge to rebuild control systems.Implemented new control systems using Siemens Simatic S7 Software.

Started as a weekend job and I have continued to work at this local garden centre during the University holidays. The work is extremely varied and great fun, working with a small team. On occasions I have opened up the centre on my own and often I would be the only person on site during lunch periods.I enjoy interacting and serving the customers and developing a basic horticultural knowledge. I have carried out numerous practical tasks including constructing garden furniture, repairing and painting raised plant beds, cementing in posts and replacing fences, maintaining ponds and replacing pumps, re-glazing greenhouses and repairing paths and car parks.
