Involved in all aspects of the Public Works Department including budget analysis and acting liaison between the Village and privately contracted projects. I am also the department’s elected customer service representative where I demonstrate our value to our residents and answer each inquiry I receive in a positive, timely and diligent manner. Day to day activities include; Conduct inspections with the Code Enforcement officer for occupancy permits, Monitor and record water and chemical usage in 5 well houses and 4 water towers by reading instrumentation and performing manual testing on water samples, water meter installation and maintenance, meter reading, marking locations for JULIE requests, water main, sanitary and storm sewer repair and maintenance, pay loader and backhoe operation, Vactor and boom truck operation, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, tree trimming and removal as well as landscaping and snowplowing. Certifications: Class B CDL, Class C Water License, Mosquito Abatement Operator

Certified Firefighter trained in and experienced with search and rescue, vehicle extrication,fire ground operations, building structure, sprinkler systems, alarm systems, ventilation and firefighter safety.Nationally Registered EMT with experience in trauma, COPD, chest pain, and all other basic life support systems.Certifications: Hazardous Materials First Responder - Operations, Technical Rescue Awareness, Nicor Gas Troy Grove Fire School, American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program.

Responsible for creating and maintaining our payroll budget based on guest traffic and sales, hiring & training team members, insurance claims (worker's compensation & unemployment), payroll and OSHA compliance.
