in April 2020, I transitioned to a contractor based Content Producer role, providing social media and marketing assets using my skills in graphic design, video editing, and post production work.

At Thuzio, I serve as a digital content specialist and primary in-house video editor. I utilize Adobe suite apps such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop among others to create, edit, and curate content for Thuzio. I also utilize google docs and dropbox heavily to organize file systems and communicate with the team, which extends to major cities like Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, and more. https://www.danzimmermann.work/editing/thuzioThuzio is a sports event firm start up in its 5th year providing entertainment through sport and discussion. Thuzio hosts live interviews with hall of fame level talent from a variety of sports, serving as an event you and your clients will remember. I spent the summer of 2019 interning in this role, and was offered and accepted remote consultancy for the rest of the calendar year and beyond.

I oversee a staff of 13 individuals and manage day to day operations of our social media accounts and real-life events. I work with local businesses and teams to coordinate promotional events, provide oversight and decision making on hiring new staff, manage the content released on our social media and website, and represent the account and team. My staff includes several camera operators, graphic designers, and on air personalities. Since I joined the team, our following has increased from two thousand followers on Instagram and 3 thousand followers on Twitter to 45 thousand followers on instagram and 12 thousand followers on Twitter. Our Instagram follower account is three times the size of the school campus we cover (Syracuse), making us effectively the most efficient Viceroy account on the platform. I work closely with Barstool HQ in New York to coordinate advertising, promotion, and content. Utilize my film and social media management skills to increase Barstool Sports Syracuse's presence on the Syracuse University Campus. Collaborate with local sports teams, clubs, and student athletes to create content for our Instagram and twitter accounts. Collaborate with Barstool Headquarters on Ad campaigns, such as #CapsOn with the MLB and New Era, and others. Build brand as campus viceroy in attempt to expand Barstool Sports.

I work alongside the marketing and communications team and provide strategy, consulting, and design for the conference’s social media, website, and newsletter communications among other mediums.

I handled all PR for my fraternity and managed our social media accounts.

Myself, along with a team of 6 other engagement interns, serve as the ambassadors for Hillel on campus. Our job is to meet freshman students on campus and provide them a mentor and a friend as they get acquainted to college, and also meet Jewish kids on campus who are looking for a source of Jewish-related activities, services, and friends. Each intern is responsible for quotas of engagements and initiatives, such as community service outings or sports teams.

I launched the Basketball Analytics club at SU. I worked alongside Dr. Shane Sanders, a professor of Sport Analytics at Syracuse, and the senior basketball manager to form a club dedicated to the analytics of basketball. Our goal is provide an outlet to feed our curiosity of basketball analytics, share information we find to benefit us all and welcome debate. We also hope to familiarize ourselves with new software, public speaking skills and data analysis methods.The club conducts large-scale studies on various topics, of which will be published on our club blog.As President of the club for its first two years of existence, I oversaw our weekly meetings, our website and data maintenance, and led an executive board of several other students to make the most of the clubs meeting times.I am proud the club remains prevalent and successful, especially with the addition of the Sport Analytics minor to Falk College.

I worked in the recruiting office with assorted personnel, providing assistance and research on a multitude of activities and recruiting methods. I used the team-based software to organize and input data on recruits, helped design draft boards and position ranking organizational charts, and assisted in mailing and other day to day activities within the office.

I managed over 20 writers across the United States covering all major sports. The site wrote sports stories and opinion articles while engaging with international audiences. The staff was made entirely of late high school and early college age students and I was proud to lead a group of young men and women in what was many of our's first step into the world of sports as a career. I executed all the website design, outsourced graphic design work, managed all social media accounts and advertising, and was the leading author on the site.Founded in 2013, the site surpassed over 150,000 page views.
