I was the Project Manager of the UK’s #1 rocketry team; SunrIde, after we broke the UK open altitude record. I acquired an immense amount of leadership, project management, teamwork, and technical skills.My final year project was designing the combustion chamber of our Sunfire liquid rocket engine. It is the highest thrust, first ALM and regeneratively cooled student engine in the UK. It achieved 3.4kN of thrust.

My summer internship was a practical learning experience of Boeing-737 and Lockheed-C130 engines, hydraulic systems, APU ground testing and engine start, landing gears, braking systems, flight controls, cockpits, NDT, compass calibration, weighing the aircrafts, fuel tanks, and emergency systems and controls. This internship not only boosted my aeronautical knowledge with practical work, but also took my understanding of the merits of hard-work to a whole new level. It taught me how to work under the pressure of time, accuracy required, and the responsibility of knowing that people’s lives count on the perfection of the work needed to be done.

My summer internship was improving and promoting “Working Dreamers” website, which is a competition-based online platform. I met with talented individuals and employers to prompt them to create competitions to find talented individuals from around the world. This job improved my social skills, persuasion skills, presentation skills, and made me perceive the importance of empowering the community through helping talented individuals showcase their abilities to companies and sponsors. Furthermore, I learned how to constructively criticize the websites based on the users’ experience and doing surveys about that.
