I launched my career at Gerber Childrenswear, LLC in 2016 as an Office Assistant reporting to Human Resources. In this role, I performed administrative tasks for HR while also lending support to Sales and Merchandising. Within six months of joining Gerber Childrenswear, LLC, I was promoted to Customer Service Representative/Sales Support reporting to the Vice President of Sales. My core responsibilities included completing item set up, generating sales reports, and responding to urgent customer requests. Working in Sales has allowed me the opportunity to master the necessary skills for maintaining successful vendor relationship management. After a four-year tenure in Sales, I was offered another promotion to the role of Product Coordinator reporting to the Director of Product Development. I offer my support by adding patterns and specs in Blue Cherry, releasing tech packs in Blue Cherry, tracking prototype sample development, and closely following time and action calendars to ensure the team is achieving our approval deadlines. Supporting the Technical Designers and Product Managers by completing the aforementioned tasks has helped me sharpen my multi-tasking skills.Although I am always ready and willing to help the team as needed, my priority is to spearhead fabric development. I partner with our teams overseas to develop new fabrics under the direction of Design. I am also responsible for maintaining our fabric library for easy access by Design and Merchandising. I am continuing to gain fabric knowledge which has given me the ability better assist Design in fabric selection.Prior to working in Product Development, I was unaware of all the intricate processes required to design, develop, and produce a single product. It has certainly given me a new appreciation as both an industry professional and consumer. My experience in Sales and Product Development has provided me with a unique insight into how Gerber operates from a creative and business perspective.

As a Brand Ambassador, customer service was my main objective. I offered style advice and product knowledge to guests on the sales floor. I processed transactions and returns at the cashwrap. We were always tasked with gaining customer acquisitions for the store credit card which I exceled in. I often worked in the fitting room and brought customers additional sizes if needed. I also returned all of the unwanted merchandise back to the sales floor. I often helped open or close the store based on my daily schedule. I assisted with visual merchandising and placed new items on the floor when we received replenishment. I changed signage and scanned each item in my assigned department to ensure it was marked with the correct price during markdowns.My flexibility and willingness to learn awarded me with the opportunity to participate in the Leadership Development Program. I ultimately did not complete the program as I received the offer from Gerber Childrenswear, LLC. I enjoyed the mentorship I received from management as well as learning the necessary skills of Gap Inc. leaders.

I acquired in the field experience while I assited with visual merchandising at various department stores. I was given the exciting opportunity to dress and style models for buyer appointments during Market Week. My internship as a Showroom Sales Intern at J Rosen Showroom during soft more year was my first experience in the fashion industry. I learned the daily operations of a multi-brand, wholesale showroom. I reached out to buyers to help drive business and ensured they had updated look books.
