Undergraduate Research Assistant, Health And Human Sciences Department

In the LMU Human Performance lab, our research focused on comparing dynamic versus isokinetic quadriceps-to-hamstring ratios, determining that isokinetic Q/H ratios were unable to capture the imbalances that are truly present during functional activities, leading to risk for injury. I collected muscle activity data from 15 male soccer players wearing Athos© compression shorts while performing isokinetic testing, drop landings, and cutting drills. Research has played a pivotal role in my undergraduate career; it led me to become resilient throughout the trial-and-error process and to appreciate collaboration and a dynamic team.
