I wrote a training curriculum and subsequently trained and managed a team of approximately 30 volunteers to answer a 24-hour domestic abuse assistance hotline. I created local programs to advocate for and bring awareness to our mission, as well as serve the needs of an otherwise underserved population in the community. I researched and accessed essential resources of all kinds for clients, including finding temporary emergency shelter or a permanent new home for victims and their families, assisting with job searches, finding childcare, attending court dates and providing basic necessities to those needing help.
