I graduated with a BA in Spanish with a teaching endorsement and Latin American Studies with a minor in linguistics at Western Washington University.I am a passionate individual that strives to become a Spanish educator to instruct lessons based on Latin culture in order to allow students to experience cultures and language uses outside their own. I have completed World Language instruction courses at WWU, along with sociolinguistic projects to understand the language use of Spanish Heritage Learners. I engaged in Spanish tutoring and Spanish conversation partners to support students to develop and improve their production of Spanish. I have presented my sociolinguistic project titled: “Identity and Spanish Heritage Language Variability” at WWU’s Scholarship Week Student Presentations and at the WWU Linguistics Department’s Open House. I also presented this project and another titled “Making Spanish Heritage Language Education Visible” at the WWU Latin American Studies Forum.
