I taught High School science in a small school.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, I review quality assurance project plans, appendices, and amendments. I regularly audit partnering agencies for compliance with their quality assurance project plans.

The Country Larder is the small home based business I have created, I sell jams, jellies, fruit butters, mixes, and spice that I sell at Farmers Markets. I also blog about sustainable living and recipes.

I worked as a substitute teacher at Elgin ISD, primarily at the middle school.

While at APAC-Texas Wheeler, I prepared, submitted, and over saw activities related to Storm water, Waste Water, and Air permit applications. I also prepared and participated in Public Notice Activities and attended a Contested Case processes. I prepared and submitted above ground storage tank registrations. I aided and prepared HazMat reporting and occupancy documents to local agencies in accordance with International Fire Codes. I also prepared and submitted Toxic Release Inventories, Tier II Chemical Reporting, and Emissions Inventories. I also prepared Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans for plants and worksites. I also prepared Self Certificated Spill Prevention, Controls, and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC) and aided in the data collection of engineered certified SPCC Plans. I kept records of Safety Data Sheets for each pant and delivered the appropriate SDS to each plant for their records. I prepared and submitted Storm Water and Waste Water Reporting for Concrete Batch Plants. I created forms and completed environmental audits and site evaluations of asphalt plants, concrete batch plants, quarries, and pits; as well as maintained records of the audits and reported to management. I acted as a liaison to State and local agencies, company employees, and the general public; as well as responding to inquires by State representatives and inspections. I created and provided training for Storm Water and Air record keeping, observations, and reporting activities to plant employees. I managed projects submitted to environmental consultants. I conducted research on environmental rules, regulations, new technologies, and advised management of environmental permitting options for new plant endeavors and environmental issues regarding new or existing plants, quarries, and yards. I prepared reports and correspondence to management and kept supervisors up to date on environmental activities for the Central Texas area.

While employed as an environmental permit specialist in the Rules Registrations Section in the Air Permits Division at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. I conducted administrative and technical reviews of Permits By Rule and Standard Permit applications for completeness and accuracy. I evaluated technical applications for registrations and certifications for compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations. I performed complex calculations, identify air contaminates, and complete written technical summaries and letters. I provide general and technical information to the public and the regulated community by providing outstanding customer service through various types of media. I have also participated in training new employees.

As an intern on the Storm Water-Pretreatment Team in the Water Quality Division at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. I conducted administrative and technical evaluations of annual reports and applications for both Phase I and II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s). I provided general and technical information to the public and the regulated community in regards to Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System for general permits including the Construction General Permit, Storm Water Multi-Sector General Permit, and the Small MS4 General Permit and large Phase I MS4 Permits. I participated in public meetings, rule making, and other special projects as assigned.

Teacher's Assistant/Research Assitant

As a Mickey Leland intern at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Enforcement Division, I contacted clients in regards to dry cleaner enforcement cases. I aided the client by explaining and guiding the client through the enforcement process.

As a Geotechnical Assistant I was contracted through Manpower Group to provide geologists with administrative and technical support, performed data entry and data base management. I also created and color coded well files, generated and digitized maps and well logs. I also prepared written technical correspondences in regards to obtaining well logs and well testing results. I was also responsible for organizing a large paper and electronic database for geological research within the Wilcox Trend of East Texas.
