I have taught for 24 years. Of those 24 years I taught 5th grade for 3yrs, 4th grade for 6 yrs, and 2nd grade for a year and 3 months and kindergarten for the rest of the year, and 1st grade for 9rs. I was also a teacher assistant for 2 years before returning to school to complete my degree. I develop lesson plans for Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. I have been a lead teacher, a teacher mentor, worked on many committees and volunteer at my church. My endorsements and certificates include an endorsement in Gifted and Talented learning, a level 1 Wilson Reading certified. I am trained in Orton Gillingham Phonics program. I also have a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision.

I assisted teachers in the education of kindergarten students. After that, I took two years off to attend Chowan College to obtain a Bachelor's Degree so I could return to work as a teacher.
