Dana Y. Wu is an Asian-American author, visual storyteller and community advocate. Her published work includes two non-fiction children’s books, The Chinese-American Experience (1993), Our Libraries (2001) and recent articles. Her not-for-profit management career includes experience at the New York Public Library and the Port Authority of NY and NJ. Dedicated to diversity in higher education and student success, she is a Senior Tutor at the Academic Support Center and at the TRIO program at the Westchester Community College. A passionate volunteer in her community, Dana has served as the PTA Treasurer, a board member, a Sunday School teacher and an outreach coordinator. She dedicates her time with the Mt. Kisco Child Care Center, Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, Interfaith Food Pantry, The Ronald McDonald House/Valhalla, Neighbors Link and the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester. She is a member of the Columbia Alumni Recruitment Committee and her class reunion committees. A life-long New Yorker, Dana now lives in Chappaqua, NY with her family. She graduated from Stuyvesant H.S., and received her B.A. and M.P.A from Columbia University. Her interests include travel, cooking, yoga and reading.
