As the former Director/Founder of the Positive Learning Collaborative (PLC) and now a Leadership Coach and Executive Functioning & ADHD Parent Coach, my commitment lies in creating inclusive and nurturing environments across education, mental health, and workplace settings. As the founder of PLC, where, in partnership with the United Federation of Teachers and the NYC Department of Education, I focused on developing healing-centered, culturally responsive, joyful, equitable educational communities. With more than two decades of experience, I have dedicated my career to challenging the impacts of punitive discipline and racism within school communities. My approach has always been about integrating social-emotional support, restorative practices, and culturally responsive pedagogy. This comprehensive strategy has not only helped reduce disciplinary incidents but also significantly improved academic performance.Holding a Master of Social Work degree and several certifications in therapeutic crisis intervention, emotional literacy, and life space crisis intervention, my foundation as a social worker and behavior specialist deeply informs my mission today. In 2023, I founded Collaborative Healing, a therapeutic practice that emphasizes the importance of recognizing and accommodating diverse learning styles and needs, rather than stigmatizing or penalizing them. Through CHC, I extend my coaching services to both individuals and families.
