About Dana Borowka
I’m always seeking the optimal path to high performance whether it is by trimming the jib on a sailboat, or by noticing important nuances in a work style personality assessment. I first became fascinated with the dynamics of employee performance when getting a Masters in clinical psychology. I was intrigued why companies so frequently hired the wrong people for the job and experienced destructive results – for the company and the employee. As I studied the science of personality testing I began to understand how a company could make a bad hiring decision even with a personality assessment in hand. I saw that most testing tools were superficial; didn’t consider the candidate’s resume or the job description; and didn’t give the right level of actionable insight for the hiring decision. I was determined to set a higher level of standards when incorporating work style and personality assessments into the hiring and staff development process. So my wife, Ellen, and I co-founded Lighthouse Consulting Services LLC in 1994.Since that time we’ve provided in-depth work style and personality testing to hundreds of clients in over 10 countries. We’ve written two books and have been asked to appear on numerous TV and radio broadcasts to discuss the topic of work style personality testing. In 2010, we expanded our range of services to include Performance Management consulting that covers three practices today: Company Culture, Talent Development and Team Productivity.At LCS we promise Predictable Performance from Predictable Hiring™. Even though we are a larger company today than in 1994 Ellen and I are still involved in each test assessment and in each performance management consulting assignment.
