Dana L. Broughton-Johnson, Phd, Jd is a Pathfinders Participant at LCLD. She possess expertise in chemistry, organic chemistry, research, biotechnology, science and 23 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "While an undergraduate student I had the opportunity to work with Dana. First we were both resident assistances for Clemson University’s housing department. Dana and I had the chance to develop programs for our residents that were educational and fun. We were also mentors for minority engineering and science students for Clemson’s P.E.E.R. program. Dana was a great mentor to underrepresented students. She developed a rapport with each of her mentees. She assisted them in developing study skills for the rigorous engineering and science program at Clemson. In addition, she assisted them in problems they may have encountered with financial aid, roommates, and the like. It was a pleasure working with Dana. Lastly, she and I were camp counselors. During a 5 week period, Dana assisted incoming freshmen understand the importance of time management, study skills and having fun. The students had a multitude of questions which they presented to Dana. Never once was she discouraged in finding an answer to a question or suggestion for the students. Her diligence was outstanding and continues to be so. Her innate ability to build relationships with those she meets is uncanny. Her openness to help others is to be dully noted. She is always encouraging and upbeat when encountered.
