Dana Bryson is an executive manager, urban policy expert, and skilled social investment strategist with more than 25 years of experience in the public, business enterprise, and nonprofit sectors. In addition to developing collective impact initiatives, negotiating complex joint-venture agreements, and managing more than 450 employees while overseeing the development of a $5.6 billion annual budget, Ms. Bryson has served as Chief of Staff to then Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown, Chief of Staff for City Operations for DC Mayor Anthony Williams, and as a senior appointee for Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.Additionally, Ms. Bryson was the founding Board Chair of the Common Good City Farm - Washington DC’s largest urban farm - and hosted HRH Prince Charles and the Prince of Wales Foundation during their stateside scouting mission for recommended urban and sustainable farming practices. Ms. Bryson is a Board member of the Denver Urban Gardens, and just stepped down from a four year term as the Board Chair. Ms Bryson currently serves and the Chair of the Board of World Child Cancer USA.Prior to founding her own social investment advisory firm, Kindness + Grit, Ms. Bryson was Senior Vice President for a real estate investment firm (MacFarlane Partners), served on various national and local food sustainability panels, such as AGree and USDA, and played the role of advisor for an agricultural investment fund.Most recently, Ms Bryson initiated, designed, and implemented a successful national leadership development program for first-time elected leaders, which actively supports more than 250 nationally elected leaders - all of whom were former classroom teachers.Dana Bryson holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F.
