Assistant Director Of Media Relations/Creative Communications
CurrentI am the primary media relations contact for Louisville Men’s Basketball and for Louisville Men’s Tennis. Day to day, I write and post press releases; plan, create and publish content with the help of creative services; and organize social media meetings with multiple staff members. I have also assisted with other social media accounts throughout the department. I was previously the secondary contact for men’s basketball and social media manager for the national ranked Louisville Volleyball program. I also oversee and mentor interns in strategic communications and their roles related to the men’s and women’s tennis programs, as well as coordinating interns and full-time staffing for men’s basketball gamedays.Additionally, I am a part of the athletic department’s working group for Name, Image and Likeness, coordinating external efforts with the Director of NIL, Director of Digital Strategy, and other members of the group to promote the ELEVATE NIL program, the Cards NIL Exchange and 502 Circle, the official collective of Louisville Athletics.
Assistant Director Of Communications/Student-Athlete Initiatives
I worked in a hybrid role between the communications/media relations department and our newly created student-athlete development department. I served as the primary communications contact for WKU Hilltopper Basketball in addition to men's and women's golf. I led communication efforts for community service and The Hilltopper CLIMB program. I also led portions of WKU's Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) efforts including INFLCR onboarding, NIL education/promotion and Hilltopper Local Exchange management. In student-athlete development, I focused on student-athlete and employee engagement which includes planning events, special projects and serving as a staff advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. I served on the committee representing the WKU Athletics Women's Legacy Fund, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, in addition to annually serving on The TOPSY Award planning committee, WKU Athletics' end-of-the-year award banquet. I was also on the WKU Athletics Minority Fellowship selection and working committee.
Media Relations Coordinator - Graduate Assistant
I served as the primary communications contact for Men's and Women's Golf as well as Indoor and Outdoor Men's and Women's Track & Field. I acted as the secondary contact for Men's Basketball. I am continued several of my duties from my role as a Media Relations Assistant including administrative office duties, coordinating press conferences, serving as the Timeout Coordinator for all broadcast of men's and women's basketball and more. I served as the communications liason for student-athlete development, community service and special events. Outside of Media Relations, I volunteered with/observed the administration that leads our Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). I was also one of three staff members that coordinated and executed two Student-Athlete Voter Registration Days where we registered to vote/requested absentee ballots for over 125 student-athletes, staff and spirit squad members from 22 different states.
Media Relations Assistant - Wku Athletic Media Relations/Communications
I was the secondary contact for Men's Basketball and primary contact for Men’s and Women’s Golf. I have worked, in some fashion, with every sport on WKU's campus. I coordinated with media, players, and coaches for media availabilities. I update game notes and statistics on a regular basis using programs such as StatCrew, InDesign, and Photoshop. I wrote and sent out press releases to the media on WKU Golf. I performed regular administrative work in the office including making copies and credentials, setting up press conferences, updating the website, and transcribing quotes. In the past, I have served as the primary contact for women's tennis and the interim secondary contact for Football in the Fall of 2019.
Volunteer - Wku Athletic Media Relations/Communications
I volunteered in the athletic media relations and communication office running statistics at game, filming and transcribing postgame press conferences, completing postgame notes for men's basketball and serving in multiple capacities gathering content and assisting with statistics at baseball and softball games. I worked approximately 4-6 hours per week in the office, executing numerous duties and projects for full-time staff members.
Communications Assistant
As an upper-level intern within the organization, I trained a team of communications interns on-site in addition to coordinating full communication efforts on-site for the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I completed and updated individual tournament histories on the AJGA website. I gathered data, calculated and packaged various fulfillment reports post-tournament. I also updated sponsored activation pieces for POLO Ralph Lauren and True Temper on the website and various social media channels. I co-mentored a team of traveling communication interns while assisting with multiple other tasks and duties at the AJGA headquarters in Braselton, Georgia.
Summer Traveling Communications Intern
I traveled throughout the Southeast with a team of six operations interns and one other communication intern. I worked with the team of interns and multiple full-time staff members to execute communication efforts for one junior golf tournament per week. Developing and executing a media plan, taking photographs and video, utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro, and writing releases and notes to media regarding results were part of the week to week operation amongst other duties.

Junior Tour Coordinator
I set up and tore down tour events while acting as a rules official during the tournament. I also scored the event on our online Blue Golf account. I communicated with golf professionals and staff along with junior golfers and parents to ensure the best experience possible on the course.
