In support of my MSc Data Science, I had the opportunity to spend time with our Trading department. I helped prototype the data flows from internal and external systems into our database for reporting so we could refine the requirements ready for development to pick up. I created Tableau reports to help analyse and understand our trading costs and fulfil.

Baillie Gifford is looking to enhance their business user experience while reducing some of the current costs and compexities by bringing together their various Oracle reports into a more unified SSRS/.Net solution.

• F&C’s IT department is constantly looking for more ways to improve the internal customer experience and shorten incident resolution times. I designed reports (in Excel and Crystal Reports) to help highlight where such.
• Management reporting in Excel and Crystal Reports.
• Programming Excel (and other office programs) for business applications.
• Creation and maintenance of SQL stored procedures to enable easy reporting.
• Application support and system administration for the assyst package.

• As a freelancer I have done / am doing the following for small businesses and private individuals:
• Database advice and creation (mostly Access) such as:- Work on several databases for the UMC Hospital in the Netherlands- A membership database for the Dutch Costume Society- An inventory database for the collection of.
• Website advice and creation such as:- A fun and informative site on a special type of dating (www.cougars-of-course.com)- A website to promote the work of a promising artist/illustrator.
• Little office automations and spreadsheets.
• Computer repair and virus removal.

• The UMCU’s Child Psychology Department has a number of research projects going that require databases for their test results. I am working with the UMCU as a freelance database developer to create suitable MsAccess.
• Creation of MsAccess database for Autism Project to track test results.
• Creation of MsAccess database for patient/study participation registration including an aid to overview completeness of test results.
• Further development and support for other similar databases.

• UMCU required better reporting on the performance of their Trauma Department. I reviewed and collated their sources of information and the trauma data collection process. This revealed 33% more trauma cases being dealt.
• Reviewed trauma registration process and software.
• Redesigned trauma data collection process.
• Set up new collection database for trauma data management to be used as a template for similar projects in other hospitals.
• Responsible for completion and proper coding of trauma data.

• Axios is the creator of the assyst (ITIL compliant) Service Management tool. I helped their customers to implement and maintain the package, advised on integrations with other software, created reports for management.
• Application support on implementation, integration, troubleshooting and management of the assyst Enterprise software package.
• Investigate, test and advise in English and Dutch (phone & email) within specified SLA time.

• Iquip was a software house focused on delivering bespoke software and testing services. Iquip merged with CAP to become Sogeti.

• VEMW hired me because their new CRM tool did not perform as well as they were hoping for; it did not support their way of working well enough. I created reports which showed both users and management where improvements.
• MI reporting
• System health check and improvements in the implementation of the CRM system.
• Increased user confidence for this system.
• Redefined user requirements and amended system accordingly.
• Managed a team of market research technicians to update of the content of the system with accurate customer details.
