I am an outgoing, detail-oriented student who loves connecting with all different types of people. I have a passion for learning, teaching, leadership, and living an active lifestyle. These are talents that I enjoy sharing through volunteering as a karate instructor and as a physical rehabilitation aid. I have superb communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated by my roles as a research assistant, a patient care assistant, a server, and by my volunteering experience. I thrive in collaborative environments that allow me to exchange ideas and feedback, and share my enthusiasm with others. Effecting change in peoples’ lives and creating meaningful relations is my favourite part of any career. I recently graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc in cellular, molecular, and microbial biology. Now, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Education at the Werklund School of Education, with the goal of combining both my passions for biology and teaching in my future career as a high school science teacher.
