Dana M. Heiser, CFRE, CPC, currently holds the position of Senior Director of Employee Experience and Engagement at Washington National Cathedral, one of the world's largest cathedrals. With over 15 years of nonprofit experience, Dana has honed her expertise in employee engagement and development. Known for her skillful creative communication and diplomacy, Dana is regarded as a strategic thinker who excels at fostering innovation and empowering her colleagues.Dana is a skilled improviser and has been recognized for her “versatile wackiness” by the Washington Post. She has studied theatre with instructors from Washington Improv Theater (WIT), The Second City, The Shakespeare Theater Company, UCB, Magnet Theater and The Center for Movement Theatre. She has performed at national comedy festivals in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, New York and DC; and she has taught at WIT and the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. Additionally, Dana has curated and directed large-scale theatrical productions with TBD Immersive, mobilizing teams of over 40 performers within unconventional settings.Dana holds a BA in Culture and Communication from Ithaca College and coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). She became a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 2022. Dana is an avid cheese lover who can’t say no to karaoke.
