Who am I? 👇When I was five, my parents asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Well, a vegetarian of course! But what I meant to say was a veterinarian. I loved animals, I still do, but I didn’t have the heart to follow that path. This was my first career lesson = know your assets. I’m originally from Los Angeles but lived in NYC for 5 years. It’s my favorite city. I was proud to wait in endless Trader Joe’s checkout lines, carry groceries for many blocks and finish off my step count at my 4th floor walk up. This was a lesson in adaptability = I moved across country alone and made it (my 5 destroyed umbrellas ☂️ didn’t).I have a pituitary tumor, had two brain surgeries and radiation. I went to my first neurosurgeon appointment alone (by choice). This was a lesson in strength = asking for support and help isn’t weakness. I have a tattoo of my Pekingese “Lovey” on my right forearm. This was a lesson in impermanence.I value kindness and integrity. I’m seeking new roles where colleagues support their teammates growth. Where we’re passionate about our work and we lift each other up to be our best selves. I’ve worked at a large multi-media company, in magazine publishing, and a health tech startup. This was a lesson in = career paths aren’t linear. I hope you enjoyed learning more about me. I’m excited for my next amazing job and look forward to sharing more lessons. Be good 🙏☺️
