Equal parts “music nerd” and “numbers person,” I am a business director and music rights expert with over a decade of experience in the commercial music sector.I lead business operations at duotone audio group, an award-winning commercial music and sound agency headquartered in New York. My role encompasses overseeing daily operations, including finance, legal, human resources, and asset monetization. I also spearhead music licensing and negotiations for our commercial projects which span global campaigns for renowned brands such as Samsung, Verizon, Rolex, Google, 2K Games, and Airbnb, as well as television and film projects scored by duotone founder and composer Peter Nashel, including HBO’s The Undoing (2020) and films like Book Club (2018) and I, Tonya (2017). My academic background includes a B.M. in Music Business/Management from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s Degree in Project Management with a focus on Business Analysis from Northeastern University, which I pursued while balancing a full-time career and new motherhood. In 2021, I was honored as a “small business booster” by Northeastern University for my use of data-driven business practices and project-based initiatives to drive company performance.As a working mom and proud Asian-American, I am committed to advocating for and supporting underrepresented groups in the music industry. I have served as the Assistant Chapter Chair for Women in Music Boston since 2020, leading initiatives to empower marginalized groups through resource development and networking events. I also recently became a professional member of The Recording Academy.
