Dan S. Ahrens is a Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer of AdvisorShares Investments, LLC. He is Portfolio Manager of AdvisorShares Hotel ETF, AdvisorShares Restaurant ETF, AdvisorShares Pure Cannabis ETF, AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis ETF, AdvisorShares Psychedelics ETF. and AdvisorShares Vice ETF.He is author of Investing in Cannabis, Wiley, November 2020 and Investing in Vice, St. Martin's Press, February 2004. Prior to joining AdvisorShares, Dan founded Ahrens Advisors, L.P., in 2005, an SEC-registered Investment Advisor, where he was portfolio manager of a mutual fund from 2006 to 2008. Prior to forming Ahrens Advisors, he was President of the MUTUALS.com Funds, and served as portfolio manager of a number of highly rated mutual funds including the Vice Fund (VICEX), which he started in 2002. He was President and Chief Compliance Officer of the Funds' Advisor, Mutuals Advisors, Inc., and acted as President, Treasurer and Financial & Operations Officer for the Broker Dealer firm Mutuals.com, Inc.
