Faculty Member, Executive Mba Programme (Part-Time)Telfer Executive Mba At The University Of Ottawa Jun 2002 - PresentOttawa, Ontario, CanadaOutstanding teaching ratings consistently rank in the highest tier, across all of my courses. All Executive MBA courses highly experiential, driving learning, transformation, results for Executive MBAs, their careers, their organizations. - "Consulting Skills for Managers" lays the foundation of knowledge and skills for the 6 business consulting projects which are fundamental platform and key differentiator for Executive MBA program. For the longer term: helping others to solve problems -- my operating definition of consulting -- is a fundamental part of any modern general manager’s job, as we continue to shift from the old top-down “delegating and directing others to do the work” model to a collaborative “getting work done with and through others” model. - "International Markets Evaluation and Strategies" lays foundation for entire 2nd year EMBA International Business Consulting project, working with Canadian SMEs in international business expansion to emerging market.- "Strategic Action" drives EMBA participants to deep dive applying strategic thinking to their own role and organization, even though ex ante most are convinced that they (or their organizations) "don't do strategy". EMBA participants use this course to build their profile with senior executives and to achieve significant career leaps.- "International Business Consulting Project" is capstone project for EMBA Program. Faculty Advisor for teams working with CEOs Canadian SMEs driving successful entry emerging markets most recently China (Shanghai, Guangzhou), Vietnam, South Korea, Peru, Malaysia.- "Learning in Action" is a key part of Orientation for the new cohort of Executive MBAs, introducing various types of experiential learning. I lead this session in which we introduce the case method and demonstrate the abundant opportunities for practical and relevant learning during the entire 21-month program, to benefit the EMBAs and their careers as well as their colleagues and organizations. -

Member Board Of DirectorsThe Case Centre Jul 2013 - PresentBabson College, Wellesley (Boston), MaThe case method is the original 'flipped classroom': a learner-centred model in which the teacher and the participants partner to create meaningful and relevant learning by engaging with real life management problems and challenges, enabling participants to bring their own experience to bear on those and learning from their colleagues, and bringing learning to life. The Case Centre is an 800+ member organization including all leading business schools as well as numerous corporate members (major consulting firms, for example). The Case Centre's mission is to promote case method and experiential learning in management education by, for example, offering the world's largest collection of case teaching materials and by supporting the ongoing evolution of the case method and its teachers, authors, and students. With 25+ years of experience in case method teaching and writing, including mentoring by the world's leading case teachers at Ivey, IMD, INSEAD, and Babson, I am glad of the opportunity to be of service to the profession. This is an especially critical time as we continue to adapt to and capitalise upon dramatic technological shifts and changing needs and expectations of both learners and leaders. -
