I recently graduated from Penn State University with a major in Biology on the Genetics and Development track and a minor in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. I am currently working as a Clinical Informatics Specialist at Oak Street Health. I am gaining experience with clinical documentation and learning more about patient care in a primary care setting. Previously, I participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) at Thomas Jefferson University. I worked in the Department of Urology, studying drug synergism in prostate and bladder cancer. I shadowed at Suburban Community Hospital in the Emergency Department, the Internal Medicine Department, and the Family Medicine Clinic. I’ve also shadowed in a hematology/oncology outpatient clinic at Fox Chase Cancer Center and volunteered in one of their clinical trial research labs. In the future, I plan to pursue a career in the medical field and use my knowledge to help others.
