About Dana L. Chavis

I have worked for SECU, the largest credit union in North Carolina since 2005. From the teller line to now in-house as an attorney in our Legal Services department, I have learned the financial services industry from inside out. I am known for my research skills and love putting the pieces of the puzzle together. As I worked full time while attending law school in the evening program at NCCU School of Law, I learned how to prioritize and increase my productivity while not sacrificing the quality of work. I am a volunteer member of the Dix Park Conservancy Intertribal Pow-wow committee. We are planning our 3rd annual pow-wow on August 26, 2023. I also am a volunteer member of the Tribal Constitution Reform Committee for the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. I enjoy opportunities to serve my Tribe and my native people.
