Girl Scout's of Ohio's Heartland Bonds Beyond Bars Program it an initiative that keeps incarcerated mothers and their daughters connected and benefiting from the Girl Scout Leadership experience. The Program is designed to provide a network of support for the girls and the incarcerated women in their lives.In December of 2015 Girl Scout's of Ohio's heartland Bonds After Bars was launched under my direct supervision of the implementation of the program, Bonds After Bars is a community bridging troop that continue or begin a Girl Scouting experience after release, Bonds After Bars creates a bridge for former Bonds Beyond Bars members, newly released, and formerly incarcerated women to embrace the Girl Scout Mission alongside their daughters through a unique troop experience. Through both initiatives and programs I provide support and resources to ensure sustainability of measured program outcomes. Provide and coordinate direct on-site Bonds Beyond Bars implementation and programming in participating prison institutions. Facilitate program meetings and events throughout Central Ohio and participating institutions. Collaborate directly with Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections to grow and support the Bonds Beyond Bars initiative. Comprehend and facilitate programming to utilize program materials to effectively deliver Girl Scout Programs to initiate and impact target population. Provide training, education, and resources for Bonds After Bars participants. Create & implement programming/documentation to ensure reduction in recidivism, empowerment within their families, children, post release follow-up, track accountability, and goals to ensure sustainability. Manage grant and funding expenditures in accordance to grantor requirements to align funding with our mission to serve girls in our community to support The Girl Scout Mission: Building Girls of Courage, Confidence, and Character who make the world a better place!
