As the Social Media and Engagement Manager at SBLI, I developed creative campaigns sharing information about SBLI products and the importance of purchasing life insurance. I oversaw the development of content for our social media networks and engaged with customers in real-time via SBLI social media channels.

At The Motherhood, I developed strategic social media campaigns for major brands and causes that reached millions of moms online. In my role as Senior Account Manager, I oversaw the day-to-day client and blogger experience for creative campaigns across major social media sites including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. I also crafted regular posts for The Motherhood blog that discussed social media trends and campaign case studies.During my time at The Motherhood, I also built trusted relationships with clients and top-tier social media moms with a collective following of millions.

As the Campaign Marketing Manager at UPMC, I led integrated marketing campaigns aimed at helping members with multiple chronic conditions change unhealthy behaviors by sharing tools and programs from UPMC Health Plan designed to show them how to take steps to improve their health. In my role, I collaborated with clinical experts to rewrite complicated materials to ensure that members could easily understand them. I also managed projects through cross-discipline teams of market researchers, editors, social media managers, public relations practitioners, advertising agencies and graphic design staff to ensure proper delivery of strategic messages across all platforms. I also worked directly with internal analysts to monitor campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancing strategy and direction.

As the Communications Specialist at the SEI, I served as primary media contact, securing significant national, local and trade media coverage and managing daily social media activities including brand promotion and customer engagement across social networks. I also oversaw campaigns and managed budgets for all online advertising including Google AdWords, LinkedIn ads, and website display ads.I regularly collaborated members of the SEI technical staff to develop news stories and blog posts for the SEI website, which required me to distill complicated technical information into brief snippets of content. Part of my role also included spearheading an integrated marketing campaign for the annual SEI Architecture Technology User Network (SATURN) conference. The campaigns I created included email marketing, direct mail, advertising, public relations and social media. The campaigns I developed contributed to marked increases in engagement and participation in the SATURN conference year over year. During my time at the SEI, I also established measurements processes to capture the results of campaign efforts. I used these metrics to compile detailed media analytics reports for management providing insights and competitive analysis.

I started my professional career as an intern at Ketchum following the completion of my undergraduate degree in May 2005. During my years at Ketchum, I served as a public relations practitioner, client liaison, project manager, and website content manager for multiple clients in the agency's brand marketing practice. Notable clients include Kellogg's, Domino's Pizza, The Canned Food Alliance, Can Manufacturers Institute, and Just for Men.In my role, I established relationships with top media and bloggers, which led to frequent media placements for clients. I produced, managed, and optimized all content for Mealtime.org, a recipe-based client website, and initiated the website’s first pay-per-click advertising campaign. I also managed the office's internship program, including interviewing, supervising, and conducting performance reviews for interns.During my time at Ketchum, I led a client's first social media campaign which engaged high-level social media moms and contributed to a 25% increase in website traffic. I also received an agency creativity award from the Midwest region leadership for spearheading the development of visual website and PR analytics reports.
