After many years working in marketing and sales positions, I recognized the importance of training and development. Unfortunately, many small and medium companies view training as an expense rather than as a long-term investment. With this in mind, I returned to school to obtain a Master’s degree in Adult Education, which greatly broadened by knowledge of training and development. My current position as the Business Development Specialist at the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation combines my extensive extensive experience with my passion for lifelong learning. My current position is responsible for developing and strengthening our relationships with businesses in Anne Arundel County and outlying areas to better understand their needs and help them overcome workforce challenges. My ultimate goal is to help organizations build a positive work environment; one that promotes lifelong learning and ongoing personal and professional development.
