But perhaps most notable to me was how many lives in my church were dramatically changed for God's glory, and how dramatically I was changed and impacted by them. Plus, this is when God led us to adopt Isabella, our daughter from Guatemala! And I can't begin to express the miracle of how all that transpired, through the support and prayers of many at MBC.

It was the first time I really experienced how fun work/ministry could be in a culture of incredible team work, where each person is vulnerable, functioning within their gift-zones, and working together for high octane results. Working with two other Pastors I helped to build a dynamic music, marriage, small group, and counseling ministry that led to multiple services and seeing Mill Creek move into its first facility on a 20 acre lot with a vision to expand from there.It was also here I first realized my own need for community and that I couldn't exist in isolation. Having lost 3 kids to pregnancy complications, and having exhausted all other resources ILona and I received great care and compassion which helped us to pursue adopting kids instead.
