I was hired to create and run the events department at the College’s brand new campus. During my tenure, I’ve built all of the necessary processes and established the internal personnel and outside vendors needed to run successful events and in turn, have added an additional revenue stream for the College. Through relationship building, strategic marketing, and community engagement, I’ve produced a strong client base and established the College as a “must use” event venue. I also aid with internal events and oversee the onsite food service vendor to ensure employees, students and guests have positive experiences while on Campus.

While at Spooky Nook, I managed the SMERF (social, military, education, religious and fraternal), corporate and bus tour markets to develop new clients and book hotel rooms and events. I created new packages and offerings to increase revenue and solicit new customers. I also marketed and represented Spooky Nook at local networking events, national conferences and community events.

In addition to the duties of my previous roles at Heritage, I lead the corporate sales team to service over 300 clients. In order to keep customers engaged, I also created new offerings such as team building activities and themed dinner menus and formulated marketing content to promote Heritage Hills’ multiple entities to the community.

As a manager, I started handling customers from start to finish which included writing proposals, contract negotiating and invoicing. I was responsible for soliciting new business and retaining current clients through tactical sales efforts and hosting client appreciation events. Additionally, I prepared monthly reports to identify improvement opportunities, measure revenue and confirm the budget was met.

I coordinated the details and logistics of functions such as church retreats, golf outings, annual award ceremonies and holiday parties for 10-400 guests. I also conducted inside sales efforts for the sales team.
