For over 35 years, ESCA Tech, Inc. has been a leader in lead and heavy metal contamination control. Industrial hygiene programs around the world use D-Lead® Test Kits to detect lead on skin, fabrics, and surfaces. Our technical support group has extensive experience in blood lead reduction programs and contamination control, including skin and surface cleaning, complete building decontamination, and high efficiency air filtration. Lead processors, battery manufacturers, and mines rely on our experience, technical expertise, and products for their clean-up, lead testing, compliance and decontamination needs. In 2010 the US EPA Recognized the D-Lead Paint Test Kit for use by certified renovators.Mr. Askin also provides consulting services in environmental and industrial hygiene aspects of metal processing including ventilation system design and permitting.

Provided training under a US AID (Agency for International Development) sub-contract to lead battery and other non-ferrous metal processing plants in improving both their environmental performance and industrial hygiene programs at multiple facilities in Eastern Europe.

A consulting engineering firm specialized in the development and construction of processing plants to recover value from industrial waste streams. Successful team projects as the sole chemist included:Recycling lead acid batteries by the shred, classify and smelt process, flash smelting of lead battery paste, reclamation of both green molding and chemical set foundry sands, production of pig iron and lightweight aggregate from coal fly ash, in-process recovery of battery plate manufacturing scrap, development of processes and controls for pelletizing powdered materials, systems and controls for the recirculation of industrial exhaust air and cleaning HEPA filters on line.
