I practice all areas of international trade law, including customs law, sanctions, export controls, national security reviews before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), international trade-related due diligence, international trade arbitration, and Section 337 litigation. My customs law practice includes tariff classification litigation at the U.S. Court of International Trade, prior disclosures, protests, customs audits, ruling requests, country of origin markings, reconciliation, and calculation of assists. I am a licensed U.S. Customs Broker.

Worked with partners and associates to help clients solve international trade-related issues. Specialized in customs law and Section 337 litigation. Worked with clients in a variety of industries, including electronics, electronics accessories, household goods, and pharmaceuticals. Dealt with customs valuation, classification of merchandise, drafting protests, reviewing trade compliance programs, filing ruling requests, drafting voluntary disclosures, and representing clients before the U.S. Court of International Trade. Represented a client in a Department of Justice False Claims Act Investigation and subsequent qui tam action. Advised clients in export control matters involving the Commerce Department's Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the State Department's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Treasury Department's sanctions program under the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the Food and Drug Administration's Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). Worked on Section 337 matters involving patents, trademarks, and trade dress for both complainants and respondents. Drafted and filed license applications with OFAC.

Spanish-language document review involving RICO litigation and an FCPA audit.

Researched legal questions for the Dispute Settlement Team using WTO Panel and Appellate Body reports and other resources; attended World Trade Organization hearings, meetings, and negotiations.

Researched and wrote memos on legal issues for trial and appellate cases.
