I am an energetic, goal oriented RN with a previous background in Real Estate and small business. I have been a bedside nurse since 2012, having worked on Step-down/PCU Units, Cardiac/Telemetry/Post Cath Units, Orthopedic Post Op, and Med/Surg floors. For more than a decade, my nursing career has allowed me to gain and sharpen my teaching and communication skills by providing me the opportunity to not only instruct my patients on how to improve and maintain better health, but I was also presented with the great pleasure of instructing and guiding nursing students and new grads as a nurse preceptor. In this role, I was charged with the honor of demonstrating to upcoming colleagues the importance of being a competent and compassionate nurse. Serving as a charge nurse has provided me with the leadership skills and confidence necessary to lead a group of individuals throughout a strenuous and sometimes chaotic 13 hour work day. This position has enabled me to make important decisions quickly, as well as encourage the members of my team to find and hone their individual strengths and share them with a team. My 35+ years of work in a variety of areas has prepared me to gather information and learn quickly. I am excited to embark on new adventures in a career that can utilize my work and life experience and challenge me to do great things.
