As one of a new generation of government IT leaders, Dan has been a major force behind the replacement of several labor-intensive legacy applications within the County of Santa Clara. Transitioning these to cloud-based solutions not only dramatically improved functionality, but also saved taxpayers millions of dollars. Currently, Dan leads a unique organization within the County known as the Business Relationship Management team. Dan formed this team, comprised of accomplished IT Managers from the private sector, to direct technology advancements throughout County departmental units. These managers are embedded in County business units and partner with top executives to complete projects and initiatives essential to each unit’s specific strategic plan. He then leverages his extensive network and influence throughout the County to ensure that business process and policy updates keep pace. Dan received his Master of Business Administration from California State University, Stanislaus, where he graduated top of his class. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Washington State University. Dan is an Associate Board Member of the California County Information Services Directors’ Association and a frequent presenter at Association conferences.
