I am a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney at WRAYS. Having completed my PhD, and worked in Switzerland as a Research Intern with Novartis, I sought a change in career path that would utilise my technical expertise. Beyond patent examination, my experience at IP Australia extended my management skills and knowledge of IP law through further studies and development as a hearing officer, and director. I completed my Masters in Intellectual Property Law and attained registration as a Patent and Trade Marks attorney in July 2009. As a Senior Patent Analyst in the Patent Analytics Hub for 2 years I built data analysis capabilities for IP Australia, and provided strategic IP information to Government agencies and Government funded researchers. In my current role I Draft and Prosecute Patent Applications in Australia and New Zealand and provide advice on Intellectual Property to Researchers and Inventors in the Chemical and Biological sciences. I am always seeking to extend my development as an intellectual property professional and leader and to make a more direct contribution to helping Australians derive maximum value from their IP, both here and abroad.
