Dan Bell, Senior Vice President, Americas Region.Starting his career with Marken on the West Coast of the United States in 2003, Dan has held various roles of increasing responsibility including, Regional Operations, Business Development, Regulatory Compliance, Technology, Business Intelligence and Quality Assurance before his promotion to VP, North America Logistics in 2017. He is a licensed US Customs Broker and a Certified Customs Specialist with 16+ years of leadership experience in global life science supply chain, with a focus on Trade Compliance, Dangerous Goods Handling, Temperature Control, and Thought Leadership. Dan was responsible for the design and implementation of many of the innovative processes and best practices to support a complex, rapidly changing and demanding clinical supply chain. His clients include Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies, Clinical Research Organizations, Central & Esoteric Labs, Contract Manufacturing Organizations and other related clinical supply chain service providers. He has served as a liaison between his clients, customs and the alphabet soup of regulatory agencies, to ensure the maximum level of compliance with U.S. and global trade laws and regulations. His knowledge and experience in this arena have led to the development of many import & export strategies that have significantly reduced in-transit transportation times, lowered logistics costs and ensured that time and temperature sensitive material are delivered on time and in spec. As with Dan’s experience in the regulatory area, his expertise in cold chain technology, and temperature logging he has helped Marken become the leader in the storage and Transportation of clinical API, Drug Product, Drug substance, IMP, Comparators, ATMPs and Biologically derived therapies.
